This is a plain-English starting template for pre-launch testing. Have it reviewed by a qualified solicitor and complete the operator details before opening to the public.

Fighter Temple (“we”, “us”) is a training companion for boxers. This policy explains what personal data we hold, why, and the choices you have. It is written to respect the UK GDPR. The service is operated by [Operator legal name and address].

What we collect

  • Account details — your email, display name, date of birth, and location (town/city).
  • Your logs — anything you choose to record: journal entries, career, training, diet, sleep, injuries, money notes, and any media you upload.
  • Coach conversations — the messages you send to the AI Coach and its replies.
  • Technical basics — an authentication session so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

To run your account, store the things you log, personalise your dashboard, and provide the AI Coach and gym search. Your date of birth is used to apply extra protections to under-18 accounts. We rely on your consent and on the performance of our agreement with you.

The AI Coach and gym search

When you message the Coach, your message is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a reply. When you search for a gym, your query is sent to our search provider (OpenAI). These providers process the request to return a result and, per their terms, do not use it to train their models. The Coach offers general information only — it never diagnoses injuries, sets diets or weight cuts, or gives financial advice.

Under-18s

Accounts for under-18s are private by default: media is kept private, and open fighter-matching is switched off. If you are under 16, please use Fighter Temple only with a parent or guardian’s involvement. If you believe a child’s data is held without the right consent, contact us and we will act promptly.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers Supabase (database and file storage, EU region) and Vercel (hosting). Access is protected by row-level security so you can only reach your own records.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. Email hello@fightertemple.com and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Delete your account or email us and we will remove your personal data, except anything we must keep to meet a legal obligation.
